Veterian Actor, Justus Esiri is dead!

What a shocking revelation, one of the pioneer actors of Nollywood, Justus Esiri is dead; he is an icon in the Nigerian film industry.

Justus Esiri (MON) attended Urohobo College Warri and later went to study engineering in Germany. his interest in theater started there in Germany where he began his acting career on stage. At the time, he was the only Nigerian male performing on stage in the years 1968/69. He also worked with voice of Nigeria VON, German Service as a translator. He was performing on stage in Germany when a delegation from Nigeria invited him to perform in Nigeria in a Government sponsored program, when he came to Nigeria, he never went back to Europe.

He is married to Omiete Esiri with 6 children, one of them is Onoriode Esiri popolarly known as Dr. SID

His fame was launched widely for his role in the ever popular African TV series, the village headmaster where he played the "Headmaster". He has won accolade of awards for his acting including THEMA Awards, NTA Honours Awards and AMAA Awards.

Congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria. It was not an easy task to ride over the BurkinaFaso team, so I say Kudus to the Super Eagles for writing Nigeria in GOLD again after Nineteen (19) years. Congratulations to supporters, fans and to the entire Nigerian citizens. Cheers!
